Thinking “green” is so yesterday. Welcome to today’s thinking.

Terreform ONE [Open Network Ecology] is a non-profit  philanthropic design collaborative that integrates ecological principles in the urban realm. The group was formed for the advancement of socio-ecological science and the dissemination of this knowledge through diverse projects.  In furtherance of these sustainable intentions, the group has created a unique laboratory for scientists, artists, architects, students, and individuals of all backgrounds to explore the larger framework of green design.  We are currently working on innovative processes and appropriate technologies for local sustainability in such matters as energy, transportation, infrastructure, buildings, waste treatment, food, water, and media culture. Our goal is to illuminate the environmental future of New York City and inspire solutions in areas like it around the world. [from the website's about us section]

Check out their website for absolutely inspiring projects. http://www.terreform.org/

They have ideas for public mobility, habitat… They offer a whole new way of looking at architecture, the use of technology and how it interacts with the way of living.

This is inpiring stuff…

Political Woodstock (…ctd)

with 3 comments

Wow. What a ceremony. It really looked quite huge, graceful and important.
Obama gave a relevant, powerful speech, and didn’t focus too much on emotion as much as he focused on the future course of action and the personal responsibility everyone should assume. Good job !

but I ask : why was the christian faith promoted so much? I realize the traditional aspect of this, but I also know that not all presidents decide to go this way and some are just affirmed, rather than sworn in. This was, to me, the only problem with the whole inauguration. Kudos to Obama though for including “non-believers” in his speech.

Political Woodstock

Is it just me or is the Obama inauguration looking more and more like a huge rock concert? : Glamour, major artists, concerts, performances, huge anticipation, huge crowds, sold-out tickets, hope, love, peace, optimism fun, a mega star (obama), music, singing, dancing, worlwide telecasting, blogging,  etc… etc…

For my part, I can only see the positive side of this. A jolt of enthusiasm and fraternity is all the american people – and the world- need and deserve in these tough times.

I’ll be definetly watching that speech at noon… It’s going to be quite the speech.

Check this video out, to see what some of the “western-world” jews think of the Gaza Situation.
Some comments said here are shameful, to say the least.

To that, I’ll add this link :

Change has come, finally.

plain and simple : congratulation to Mr. Obama, and thank you for making the whole world feel hopeful -and dare I say happy- at the same time, at the same instant, and hopefully for a long time to come.

Regarding the future, we have tomorrow to talk about it.
For now, we go to sleep with a better, more rested mind than we had before dinner tonight.
